Our project overview

Located in Montepuez, Cabo Delgado, Mozambique, our project is owned by Ovahana Minerais Limitada. With a JORC report indicating an inferred resource of 15.5 million tons of high-grade graphite ore (TGC 6-15%) and 12.5 Mt at 0.14% V205 of vanadium ore, we are poised to meet the growing demand for EV battery materials. We are currently seeking USD 2M for a Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS) and will later seek USD 40M for project development. The revenue potential is estimated at USD 1.5B gross revenue over the initial 20 years, driven by EV battery demand, with production slated to start in 10-18 months. Our strategic advantage includes positive Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) results and proximity to Syrah Resources' Balama project.

Addressing the graphite problem

The demand for graphite in EV battery anodes is projected to grow 20% annually, reaching 4.6 Mt by 2030. Geopolitical dynamics, including U.S. tariffs on Chinese graphite and China's graphite export controls (Dec 2024), are calling for diversified sources of graphite outside of China. Our focus is on Ovahana, with its high-grade graphite mining concession (94%+) in a proven graphite district, located 40 km from Syrah's Balama mine. With 15.5 million tons of high-grade graphite ore (TGC >6%) ideal for battery-grade applications, we are targeting production by late 2026, with plans for a processing plant by 2031. We also have 12.5 million tons of vanadium ore at 0.14 % V205.

Our competitive advantage & business model

Our proximity to Syrah's Balama mine ensures proven geology and logistics, including access to Nacala/Pemba Ports. The high-grade resource (>6% TGC) reduces processing costs and enhances profitability. Our experienced management team brings national, regional, and global mining expertise. We prioritize ESG, focusing on community partnerships, sustainable mining practices, and alignment with UK/EU carbon goals. Our business model includes Phase 1: USD 2M for BFS to validate resource and secure off-take agreements. Phase 2: USD 40M for mine development targeting 60,000 tpa graphite production by 2026. Revenue will come from direct ore sales, with plans to acquire a graphite processing plant by 2030 to process and sell 94% TGC GRAPHITE concentrate by 2031.

"Scot-Moz Megatech Resources Ovana Graphite & Vanadium is poised to become a key player in the global graphite market, contributing significantly to the EV battery supply chain and promoting sustainable mining practices."
